About

darlene-5-years-oldAt an early age I began performing as a singer and tap dancer. At age 17 I made my professional debut in New Orleans at the Cabaret Toulouse on Bourbon street where I worked with such greats as Bobby Hackett, Paul Desmond and Jerry Mulligan. I have performed from Florida to Canada, and once in my youth sang the national anthem on ABC’s Wide World of Sports.

Special thanks to all the musicians for the golden opportunity to be accompanied with LOVE, my most recent music project. Also I want to thank Ed Williams and Tom Knox for their brilliant engineering, mixing and mastering. I hope this music will bring you peace and harmony in your lives.

Regarding my art career, I have had the privilege of studying with many masters, including:

Burton Silverman, New York
Daune Whitelaw, Nashville, TN

Dee Beard Dean, Charleston, SC
Peggy Baumgaertner, La Crosse, WI
